Dear Vista Cord Customer,

We are pleased to share exciting news with you about Vista Cord. Effective immediately, Vista Cord assets have been acquired by FamilyCord, and going forward FamilyCord will be providing all cord blood services for Vista Cord clients. With more than thirty years of cryogenic storage experience, FamilyCord is a leader in the cord blood banking industry and one of the founding members of the Association of Family Cord Blood Banks (AFCBB).

Why is Vista Cord partnering with FamilyCord?
FamilyCord is in full compliance with all FDA regulations, accredited by the AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) and certified by CLIA. By transferring your account to FamilyCord you achieve the safest services in the industry. Vista Cord and FamilyCord are working together to provide a smooth transition.

What will this mean for my child's cord blood?
Your cord blood will be transferred by experienced cryogenic shipping specialists to one of the most respected cord blood banks in the world. FamilyCord uses licensed clinical laboratory scientists to perform all testing, processing, and storage. The facility offers a 6000 gallon liquid nitrogen tank, backup electrical generator, and a 24-hour monitoring system to ensure the safety of your cord blood stem cells. Should a medical need arise for your family, you will have full access to your cord blood unit.

Your current Vista Cord storage agreement will be honored by FamilyCord and remain in effect for the duration of the contract. Your cord blood stem cells will be transferred to FamilyCord by the end of the year. Current processing fees should continue to be paid to Vista Cord while future storage renewal notices will come directly from FamilyCord.
